Golf in the Lisbon Area

Lisbon is often overlooked as a golfing area, as most golfing tourists go straight to the Algarve. However, Lisbon has a number of top quality golf courses, and has some key advantages over golf in the Algarve. The biggest advantage is of course that you can stay in Sintra (!), but also the courses here are generally less crowded, and the green fees are cheaper. Courses such as Penha Longa are probably also more scenic.
